Your guide takes you over the dunes on a route set that morning, by where the wind has put them. There is no one else in the vehicle — just your people, your guide and the sand.

Out into the dunes as the sun goes down, to a private camp with no other camp in sight.
Dinner is cooked over a fire at the camp, which is set for your family or your group alone. You stay out while the light goes and the stars come up over the sand.

Two nights deep in the Rub' al Khali, with a mobile camp, a falconer and a Bedouin tracker.
The camp
A mobile camp goes out with the expedition, so both nights are spent out in the Empty Quarter itself.
The falconer
A falconer travels with the expedition, and the falcon with them.
The tracker
A Bedouin tracker rides with the expedition and reads the sand as you cross it.
